Simhapuri Energy Private Limited (SEPL), a owned subsidiary of Hyderabad based Madhucon Group, is established in 2005 to develop, construct, operate and distribute power from coal based power projects in India. Over the years SEPL has established itself as a pioneering organisation in Thermal Energy sector and currently on the way of building power plant with supercritical technology.

The Company is aiming to establish a power generation capacity of 5,000 MW by the year 2015 and 15,000 MW by year 2020 with resources on its own and through its subsidiaries. The power projects are planned to be diverse in geographic location, fuel type, fuel source and off-take.

Currently the company is developing state-of-the-art Thermal Power Plant at Thamminapatnam village, SPSR Nellore District near Krishnapatnam Port in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India with a planned capacity of 1920 MW.  It will be completed in three   phases with 2 x 150 MW   under Phase-I, 2 x 150 MW under Phase-II and 2x 660 MW Super critical units under Ph-III.
